BEST COMPANY? I WAS SURPRISED
I was surprised this was this far down the list.
With everyone claiming to have the best:
It’s not hard to see this making the top 15 questions…..it’s just with all the noise about pre-launches, [yawn], tweaked binaries and unilevels, matching bonuses ……and all this being blasted 24-7 by amateurs…..confused prospects is a way of life.
Add to the the total lack of class, style and stupidity of people who put down all companies but there own, it’s no wonder people are confused.
GREAT, GOOD, BAD, INDIFFERENT
There are great companies out there…..some fairly new and some that set the standard…….some bad ones and some middle of the road stuff…….just like any business……there are good, bad and indifferent butchers, bakers and candlestick makers……but who is the best?
I guess if I didn’t know what I do now I might want to know…….if I was a prospect.
Now I know better.
THE VERY BEST COMPANY, BAR NONE
The very best network marketing company is you.
Your organization is a company.
Think about it.
You enroll and enroll others and so on.
It’s your team, your group, your peeps….right?
Wrong.
IT IS A BUSINESS
It’s your company and each rep in your group represents a point of distribution for the wholesaler’s juice, pills, powders, potions, cell phone service…..whatever. The company collects money, takes a profit, sends out product and pays you…..for?
Building a business.
The best or worst company…..is you. You are the CEO, you are running the show.
When I sold seafood, I bought the product on credit, went out and sold it, paid the company what I owed them and kept the difference.
I hired drivers…..just like we get reps…..
My suppliers did not pay me…..I earned the ‘difference’ ….between cost and prices I charged.
As my team of drivers grew, so did my income and what I had done was set up channels of ‘distribution’ and got paid for it.
While the way the money is handled differently…..it’s really the same model, [minus headaches]…..a chain of distribution via drop shipping….its a real company and it’s yours.
SOME GOOD, BAD AND INDIFFERENT
Other guys and gals did the same thing as I did.
I did better than most, I ran a better company.
Same with you…..MLM is just a model where the company is encouraging us to build ‘lines’ of distribution.
So is your company the best?
That is up to you….because whether your wholesaler is located in Utah, Florida, Texas or Timbuktu…….you are going to get paid based on the kind of company you build.
The best MLM companies – you, me or Moe, Larry & Curley…..are the ones with the best educated teams. This is a leadership tip that is priceless.
Duplication is a by-product of education.
Like any occupation, it all revolves around skills and communication. We can have the best leadership tips in the world but we can’t give anyone a single network marketing tip until we learn what to do and learn how to teach.
I loved conventions because I always had the highest percentage of folks there proportional to my team and ……this is the part I loved….they always came up to me all weekend and told me how much they were helping and teaching others……my teams came home oozing with confidence because they knew they were far more knowledgeable than 95 % of the people they met. They were stunned.
Confidence comes from skill, skill comes from correct knowledge …….and ‘hands on’ repetion…is the mother of skill.
Great companies are great because they keep learning and applying.
Want to be with the best company in the industry?
Make it so by learning and applying the skills that will advance your company…..your team IS your company, not the wholesaler.
…..and the folks who build the best companies….adhere to President Harry Truman’s wisdom, “The buck stops here.”
Instead of looking for the best company, plan …..whatever…..be it.

Recent studies confirm that consumers and business owners alike still prefer email marketing as the #1 way of communicating about their new products and services. But for the most part, only retail chains like J. Crew and Bluefly.com can get away with straight promotional newsletters.
For the small business owner or solo-preneur, the ezine rules. It’s a bit more tactful and delivers a mix of insightful, practical content WITH your promotional updates and info.
Here are seven simple ways to marketing yourself in your ezine:
1. Make sure your MAIN ARTICLE always provides information that your readers will find valuable.
By having a main article as the foundation of your issue, readers will feel they got what they came for — helpful information. Try a list of top 10 tips, a “how-to” article, a list of resources, a review of a trend in the industry, etc.

2. Begin each issue with an EDITOR’S NOTE or PUBLISHER’S NOTE.
When I first started publishing in 1999 or so, I didn’t include anything personal. Then I began including my Note from Ali, and found it was the perfect place to let readers know what’s happening with my business and life, give them a taste of my personality, and announce any upcoming events they should know about.
An Editor/Publisher’s Note is a personal message from you to them—and because it’s NOT your main content, you have more leeway in being a bit self-promotional. But it’s not a hard pitch.
3. In your articles, include LINKS to related articles you’ve written, blog entries, or media mentions, when appropriate.
Your readers will appreciate the additional information and resources, and it’s one more chance for you to demonstrate your expertise and credibility.
And of course you can take it a step further and directly recommend your paid products or services that are on topic.
4. Directly after your article, give a quick PROMO BLURB, mentioning your products, services, or programs, if you offer them. (Choose one for best results.)
Why right after the article and before anything else? If someone reads your article and says to themselves, “That was great information!” They’ll be ready to hear what else you have to share on that subject.
A great lead-in for your blurb is: “Did You Like Today’s Article? If you did, you’ll LOVE my [e-book, report, upcoming workshop, etc.]…”
5. In each issue, offer a TESTIMONIAL from one of your clients or customers.
If you have testimonials, it’s a great idea to work them into your ezine. Not only do they establish credibility and trust, but they are a subtle reminder that you’re not just a publisher… you do offer services and products.
Plus, when some of your clients see how nicely you highlight your testimonials, complete with the client name and business info (if any), they’ll be more likely to want to take action and submit one themselves.
6. Tell us what YOU’RE all about!
At the end of your ezine, take at least 10 lines and give a concise description of YOU and what you have to offer your readers. (See the end of my ezine for a good—albeit lengthy—example.)
Explain who you are, what you do, how you can help me (the reader), and what to do next (e.g. visit your website).
7. Occasionally, make a special announcement in a SOLO MAILING.
A solo mailing is any mailing you make to your EZINE subscriber list that is NOT a regular issue of your ezine.
If you do send out any solo mailings, make sure they’re newsworthy. Perhaps you’re offering a special sale on your product line, or you’re announcing a brand new seminar you’re teaching.
REMEMBER THE *SILENT* BENEFITS OF YOUR EZINE
Keep in mind that even if you aren’t getting direct business from your ezine at this time, it’s still delivering many benefits that may be less obvious. Your ezine is helping to establish you as an expert in your field. It’s giving you massive online exposure. You’re gaining further credibility with your current clients and customers. And it’s forcing you to package your knowledge into articles and tips on a regular basis, which you can recycle for many other marketing uses!

What would you like to be remembered for? Each of us would like to be remembered long after we are gone. Get out of your comfort zone, start a blog. When I first started the MKMMA Mastermind Alliance Course and writing a blog was part of the course I thought, no way, what could I write about that would possibly be of interest to anyone it this big world that we live in. I have learned to just start writing, if one blog helped one other person get through a tough time, it is well worth the effort. If by learning the skills of Network marketing and I help somebody achieve their goals….that is worth the time spent writing this blog.
Watching the birth of one of our horses was amazing to say the least! When I started this MKMMA Mastermind Alliance Course it seemed like I was in the womb (so to speak). Watching and studying each week. Learning to support and contact other members of the group. Feeling helpless at times. If you don’t know, a mare has a 11 month gestation time until the birth of her foal. What does this video have to do with a Network Marketing business? Each member of the MKMMA team embarked upon a 26 week Mastermind Alliance Course to learn how to become a better person and to learn new skills. Then to emerge from the course(womb) thinking differently.
We learned to transform our mind each day by reading Og Mandino’s book, The Greatest Salesman in the World, three times per day creates positive reinforcement.
Instead of scumming to the negative thoughts that bombard us daily we learned to build up the positives in our life. We wrote down on each flash card something we accomplished, could be: graduating from high school, completed this MKMMA course, trained our dog, taught someone a skill, are a friend etc. We were to flip through each card every day and from this exercise know that we are successful! This skill encouraged me with positive reinforcement of my successes.
Emerging from this course was like this baby foal being born, watching this lifeless little baby as she lay on the ground and then struggle. One minute not breathing and then watching her take her first breath of life! Now that this Mastermind course is over we will use the skills that we have learned and forage a new future. Thank you Mark and Davene for your hard work and inspiration. I found the 10 truths about leadership in James M. Kouzes and Barry Z. Posner’s book, “The Truth About Leadership,” not just valuable but profound.
Let’s face it, we cannot lead where we will not go……and we can’t go some place if we don’t know how to get there.
I covered 3 of the 10 Truths about leadership, leadership attributes……here is my spin and application on the other 7……
Might want to score yourself 1-10 on the following points……I did and I help my teammates do the same thing……not as a judgement but as a starting point.
Truth 4 is Focusing on the Future Sets Leaders Apart.
People know where they are……you’ve got to see the future and paint vivid pictures…..Think and Grow Rich‘s Napoleon Hill learned ‘imagination is the only bridge to real enthusiasm.’ Without that we are dead in the water……..and when you talk future, make sure you link it to weekly and daily actions…….this is a network marketing skill. Leaders like Success Coach Kathy Zimmer get that…..inspire a future then walk people step by step through what to do daily.
Truth 5 is You Can’t Do It Alone
There is an old saying that ‘it’s lonely at the top’……it’s a load of crap.
The truth is no one makes it to the top alone, no one makes it without a true master mind alliance. Leaders get this…..not all top money earners……and that is a big, big problem.
So sad.
Most people in MLM who are making good to great money never made that kind of dough before.
Ego.
Ut-Oh.
It’s not about what you are making, it’s about what you are leaving on the table. The only way to maximize profit for everyone is harmony in the relationships…..ego must go and realizing by EVERYONE that no one would be making anything if it wasn’t for EVERYONE…..is a great first step towards harmony…..leader’s take this step over and over.
Get constructive feedback and be more concerned with what is right ……not who is right.
Stay away from ALL GOSSIP…..and model that/
Truth 6 is Trust Rules.
They must trust you and we’ve gone over Covey’s book, The Speed of Trust, in a 5 part series before……and Kathy Zimmer’s recent post about improving yourself…..is brilliant.
See, she ‘get’s it’……she knows the best way to improve the team is to improve yourself….yes…..but Kathy gets the next level of that.
Next level? A leadership attribute :::::>Modeling.
Trust goes up when the team sees you working on you instead of ‘going to the whip’ and telling them what they need to do.
Truth 7 is Challenge Is the Crucible for Greatness.
They are change agents……..but wait……you must know this first…….and this ain’t in the book.
MLMers sometimes promote what they think are cool ideas for change, acceleration to the group…..DO NOT DO THAT>>>>YET
Come across a cool idea or way to get more names……
Test before testimony.
Do not let your group be the guinea pigs……
Do it yourself…..then, when you find some stuff that works…..do it with them.
Test before testimony……then promote change.
You must be able to say, “yes, this works,” and mean it.
Truth 8 is You Either Lead by Example or You Don’t Lead at All
In the end…..reps will do what you do not what you say.
Get on the phone 3 hours a day to new prospects for 90 days and you’ll never have to give a motivational speech or listen to an excuse.
Model.
The time to stop talking and start walking?
Now.
Got a great guy, had some great successes…….calls me daily about who is not doing what.
Hasn’t sponsored anyone personally in 7 weeks.
End of story.
Truth 9 is the Best Leaders Are the Best Learners
They learn and keep learning……Faye is a great example of that ……of this crucial leadership tip……..and going over her blog for 23 weeks of entries…..shows what real leadership is about…learning, applyng and sharing…..with just a ‘touch’ of vulnerability and a lot of humility….who would not want to follow.
Instead of applying pressure on others, she models ……

Share, don’t tell…..and it inspires folks on 2 levels.
1. The material……2. They know you are committed to improving the team by example.
Truth 10 is Leadership Is an Affair of the Heart
Passion.
The Ancient Greeks asked 1 question when someone died.
“Did they have passion?”
An entire life defined by the answer.
Leaders have passion…..
Could be for:
Plan
Product
Helping others
Financial freedom
Does not matter…….if it is in your heart…..and shows authentically…..people will follow.
Here are 5 tips……that if you follow daily……you’ll hit most of these 10 leadership truths daily.
Score yourself 1-20 on each of these……don’t judge yourself, just consider it a starting point and focus on the one you scored the lowest on the first week.
1. Model the way….are you a leading by example leader ….. a ‘going to the whip’ or ‘relationship’ leader? [whip and relationshippers are doomed with the example.
2. Inspire a shared vision…..your shared vision should be their vision. Do you know thier goals?
3. Challenge the process….with skills and practicing them with folks.
4. Enable others to act….by setting up a schedule with them
5. Encourage the heart by working with, not telling what to do.

When we have talked about the Hero’s Journey in this MKMMA Mastermind Alliance Course I looked up “hero”. The definitions that came up superman, champion, conqueror and even idol came up. Wow! At the start of this course I would not have described myself with any of these definitions. Now after 24 weeks I would say that each one of us that have taken this Hero’s Journey and stuck with it can step up to the plate and call them self a Hero. Not because they are better than anyone else but because through frustration, tears, anger, disillusionment they have come to the end of this course. But the Journey doesn’t end here but continues for the rest of our life. How we choose to continue make us the “Hero”.
When I looked up the definition of “journey” the words trip, voyage, expedition, ride, drive, flight and crossing came up. At times I wanted to take flight and never come back. Even say bon voyage a time or too. Then I decided to take an expedition instead and cross over the finish line.
I guess what I’m really trying to say is if you get a chance to take this Masterkey Mastermind Alliance Course, go for it with all your heart and soul! You will never be the same. Your mind will be stretched, your heart will be enlarged, your outlook on life will be enriched and your leadership attributes for life and business will improve.
Through personal growth development I have learned that the key to your success is service! This is what network marketing is all about! Finding persons with a need and

Seven Laws of the Mind
Law of Substitution
We cannot think about 2 things at the same time. If a negative thought enters your mind ~ try to think about God instead. If that is too big a reach at the time, use any fond memory or other pleasant thought. Jesus, the Master Teach, said, “Resist not evil” ~ meaning turn from it and think about something else instead.
Law of Relaxation
Mental effort defeats itself ~ exactly the opposite of physical effort. A relaxed, calm state of mind, is the only doorway to progress mentally. Relaxation of thought is the only access to Infinite Intelligence.
Law of Practice
Practice makes perfect. The 5Ps – Perfect Practice Prevents Poor Performance. Our bewilderment of magnificence in others, upon further inspection, finds…as Wooden shares ‘you’ll find most of it is practice, the rest of it is work.’ With practice of the correct things, we improve ~ on the other 6 Laws of the Mind.
Law of Forgiveness
To access the Divine and connect the subconscious to the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent Creator we must forgive everyone and anyone to clear the channel. There can be no connection to the Divine mind where anger or resentment against a brother or sister, justified or not, exists.
Law of Dual Thought
Thought is a combination of ideation and feeling. We can attach any feeling to a thought we want.
Law of Subconscious
As soon as the subconscious accepts the idea it becomes a demand and it works constantly, 24-7, to manifest demand ~ accessing a reservoir of infinite resources.
Law of Growth
What ever we think about grows. What we forget atrophies
